What are CIP conditions?
What are CIP conditions? Basically, CIP Incoterms 2010 and CPT conditions are similar, the only difference in these two conditions is that the seller must buy insurance for the shipment. CIP (Carriage, Insurance Paid To) – Freight and insurance paid to here are freight and insurance paid to the designated location in the buyer's country.
The seller's responsibility under this condition is to bear all costs from the time of sending the goods to the first carrier until the buyer receives the goods at the designated point in the buyer's country. Obligations of the seller
- Delivery in accordance with the provisions of the Commercial Contract
- Bear all risks and losses of the goods before they are delivered to the first carrier
- Notify the buyer when the goods are ready, when the goods are delivered to the first carrier and when the goods arrive at the specified destination
- Sign a transport contract, deliver the goods to the first carrier and pay the freight to the specified destination
- Sign a cargo insurance contract for the duration of the goods being transported and pay the insurance costs
- Export customs clearance and bear all customs clearance costs
- Provide the buyer with invoices, common transport documents and insurance policies or any other evidence of insurance.
- Required documents: Commercial invoice, transport documents, export license, certificate or insurance policy.
Obligations of the buyer
