Agency competent to collect IMO fees in Vietnam
The authority to collect the IMO fee association is specified in Article 6 of Circular 25/2012/TT-BGTVT as follows:
Organize the IMO fee collection
1. Office of Vietnam Maritime Administration, Maritime Sub -Departments and Maritime Port Authority (referred to as IMO fee collection agency) shall collect IMO fees as prescribed in this Circular.
2. The agencies assigned to collect the IMO fee association shall have to collect and collect sufficiently as prescribed by this Circular.
3. The collection of IMO fees must meet the requirements:
a) Publicly calculate the collection level at the IMO fee collection agency;
b) The ship owner pays the IMO fees can pay cash or transfer to the account of the agency that is assigned the IMO fee association; In case the IMO fees are submitted by bank transfer, the IMO fees and individuals must submit the Money Transfer Memories certified by the bank where the organization or individual pays the money.
