Safe, Affordable North–South Sea Container Transportation Service with Competitive Freight Rates at Proship
The North and South regions of Vietnam have different areas of development across various types of goods. This results in relatively large volumes of cargo traded between the two ends of the country. As a result, North–South freight transportation services have developed significantly, particularly domestic container transportation by sea, with sea freight rates attracting strong interest from businesses and shippers.
Domestic North–South sea transportation in Vietnam involves two-way shipping from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong or vice versa, from Hai Phong to Ho Chi Minh City. This service also includes routes to major port cities along the North–South corridor using containers. At the same time, cargo can be picked up at the warehouse or port and then delivered to the customer’s designated address.

North–South Sea Freight Transportation Process
The process for transporting containers by sea on the North–South route:
Step 1: Receive the Sea Freight Request
Proship, a provider of domestic sea container transportation services, receives the customer’s request. The information should clearly specify the pickup address/warehouse, destination port, etc.
Step 2: Complete Customs Procedures and Provide a Quotation
Submit customs declarations to the Customs Authority and complete cargo customs clearance. Conduct specialized inspections and physical cargo inspections in accordance with customs regulations. Complete all required documentation and obtain the necessary free circulation permits.
Afterward, Proship provides a reference quotation for sea container transportation. If the customer agrees to the quoted rate, the transportation plan and cargo preparation will proceed.

Step 3: Inspect and Transport the Cargo to the Seaport
Dry/refrigerated cargo is inspected once again, then transported from the storage warehouse to the port terminal for inspection before being loaded onto the vessel.
Step 4: Load the Cargo onto the Vessel and Transport
The cargo is loaded onto the vessel, and the process of transporting containers from North to South by sea begins.
Step 5: Deliver the Cargo to the Port and Complete Payment
After the cargo arrives at the final destination port, it will be inspected, unloaded, and delivered to the recipient’s address as specified in the signed domestic sea freight transportation contract.
